Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GroomBoard (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GroomBoard is a business management platform for pet groomers and grooming salons. The Service includes appointment scheduling, client and pet management, online booking pages, SMS reminders, and business analytics.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
  • One person or legal entity may maintain no more than one free trial.

4. Free Trial

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial at any time.

5. Pricing & Billing

  • Solo Plan: $19/month — for individual groomers.
  • Salon Plan: $39/month — for teams of up to 5 groomers.
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice via email.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account Settings or through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Your Data

  • Ownership: You own all data you enter into GroomBoard, including client information, pet records, and appointment data.
  • Export: You can export your clients, pets, and appointments as CSV files at any time from Settings.
  • Deletion: Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
  • Backups: We maintain database backups for disaster recovery. Backed-up data is automatically purged on the same 30-day schedule after account deletion.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Send unsolicited SMS messages through the Service (spam)
  • Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other users
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use automated scripts to interact with the Service without our permission
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

8. SMS Communications

Program name: GroomBoard Appointment Notifications.

Description. The Service includes a transactional SMS program that sends only the following message categories to clients who book through a GroomBoard-hosted booking page: (1) a booking confirmation immediately after an appointment is scheduled, (2) an appointment reminder approximately 24 hours before the appointment, and (3) a pickup-ready notification when grooming is complete. The program does not send marketing or promotional content.

Consent. Clients opt in by checking a required, unchecked-by-default consent checkbox on the public booking form before submitting their appointment request. The booking form will not submit unless the checkbox is checked. By using the Service to send SMS to your clients, you confirm that consent was obtained in this manner (or that you have equivalent prior express written consent on file).

Message frequency. Approximately 3 messages per booked appointment. Frequency is event-driven and varies with the client's booking cadence.

Opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP). Recipients may reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from all further messages from the sending business. Replying HELP returns contact information for support. Opt-out requests are honored immediately and recorded server-side.

Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on the recipient's mobile carrier and plan. GroomBoard does not charge recipients for SMS messages.

Mobile information sharing. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Your obligations as a sender. You are responsible for ensuring that every recipient you message through the Service has provided express prior consent, and that your use of the Service complies with the TCPA, CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and all applicable carrier rules. You agree not to send unsolicited, marketing, or prohibited-content messages through the Service.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GroomBoard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
