7. SMS Communications & Consent

Program description. GroomBoard operates a transactional SMS program for clients who book grooming appointments through a GroomBoard-hosted booking page. The program sends only the following message categories: (1) a booking confirmation immediately after an appointment is scheduled, (2) an appointment reminder approximately 24 hours before the appointment, and (3) a pickup-ready notification when grooming is complete. No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this program.

How clients opt in. A client opts in by checking a required consent checkbox on the public booking form (e.g. groomboard.com/book/[business]) before submitting an appointment request. The checkbox is unchecked by default, the Submit button is disabled until it is checked, and the exact disclosure text and timestamp are stored server-side on the client record for audit.

Message frequency. Clients can expect approximately 3 messages per booked appointment (confirmation, reminder, and pickup-ready notification). Frequency is event-driven and varies with the client's appointment cadence.

How to opt out and get help. Clients may reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe from all further SMS from that business. Replying HELP returns contact information for support. Opt-out requests are honored immediately and recorded in our system.

Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on the client's mobile carrier and plan. GroomBoard does not charge clients for SMS messages.

No sharing of mobile information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are collected solely to send the transactional messages described above. We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in / consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.Mobile data is shared only with our SMS infrastructure provider (Twilio) strictly to deliver the messages described in this section, and is never used for any third-party marketing, advertising, or list-rental purpose.

Compliance. GroomBoard's SMS program is operated in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and the CTIA Short Code Monitoring Handbook, and is registered under A2P 10DLC.
